ProQuest Dissertations & Theses (formerly Dissertation Abstracts), 1861 - : More than 2.9 million citations (with abstracts since 1980) to doctoral degree dissertations by accredited North American educational institutions and more than 200 institutions worldwide. Also contains citations (with abstracts since 1988) to masters' theses corresponding to the coverage in Masters Abstracts (MA). It provides 24-page previews of dissertations and theses, where available. Simple bibliographic citations are available for dissertations dating from 1639. Coverage includes approximately 3,000 subject areas.
